Dr. Chilshu Chandran

Dr. Chilshu Chandran is a public health professional with over five years of experience in public health and health systems capacity building. Currently serving as a Technical Specialist in Health Systems at an international NGO, she plays a key role in designing and implementing training programs at both state and national levels. With a Master’s in Public Health (Health Administration) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and a Bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from Government Ayurveda Medical College, Kannur, she blends clinical expertise with public health acumen. Her teaching experience includes conducting quality training sessions for nurses and support staff, developing workshop modules for primary care providers, and facilitating gender sensitization orientations. She has also taught academic subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, and Hindi to students, further reflecting her passion for education across disciplines. Dr. Chandran has presented at national and international forums such as the Health Systems Global Symposium and the International Health Literacy Conference, sharing insights from training and research initiatives. Her previous roles as a Quality Consultant at Virohan Health and Management Institute and Program Manager at the Vision Foundation of India further enriched her expertise in workforce training and operational leadership.
